mobile inspiration

brainforest. 2004. 21st century museum of modern art, kanagawa japan

i caught the final day of the gerda steiner and jorg lenzlinger waterhole installation at acca in melbourne on sunday. it was amazing. the most beautiful part for me was lying on the bed under the suspended mobile made of  sticks and collected plants and recycled bits. it was so peaceful to watch it slowly, slowly spin above me while the intricately fragile shadows played on the ceiling and walls, as if moved by my own breath.

and so i look to mobiles. on etsy of course.
