a saturday thank you to
for this world of calder.
posted alongside the monty python
on life with the other half.
(i also think the excellent golden smith
is winning my imaginary race for
the most awesome blog header:)
also,
just in case anyone reading is yet
to discover the delights of dylan moran, this ouno post is great.
the clip posted introduces a high point in the art of insult: "pissmidget".
i have since been watching black books episodes on you tube.
this is one with first franny then bernard faking their piano skills
via manny playing inside said piano with spoons.
at one stage franny is talking to bernard's random date,
on the topic of bernard's skills in the arts.
you probably need to watch it, but this dylan moran line superb:
"You! What did you say to Kate? She thinks I'm the Renaissance!"
and then:
"I have to go along with all this reclusive genius stuff...
She's going to be very upset when she finds out I'm a reclusive wanker."
ah calder! a BIG favourite. love black books too, although haven't seen it in ages.. might have to check your link :)

I was 19 when I walked into the Miro museum in Barcelona to an exhibition of his mobiles and films of him working and talking. I was there for hours. An early, defining, life-changing gallery moment.
