"Here you can buy and sell plants with a history; second-hand plants that need a new home or third-generation cuttings with an old family-tree. Instead of throwing an old and tired plant in the bin you can come to us and we will try to find it a new home. This website is about the stories plants can tell us, how they have followed us through our lives and experienced good and bad times. We usually don´t see them as valuable but some have been in families for generations and have been passed on like family treasures. This project aims to give the plants some deserved recognition. Our plant´s journeys will be traced and written down for you to view on this website. By doing this we aim to create a library of plant stories. "
I love this idea too! It is so nice getting cuttings from someones favourite plant, I have got some good ones from my father and people at work. Although it makes it all the more tragic when my cats bite big holes in the resulting plants... :)

ReplyDeletemost of my plants have come from cuttings from my grandparents (they were both great gardeners!). its so nice to have plants with some history.
these plants really has a story and some personality. They look really alive.

hi there - it is so nice to see that everyone passes on cuttings so. this is truly a profoundly beautiful idea i think.
ReplyDeletei also have hydrangeas and fuschias from my grandma, an heirloom geranium from my friend james' grandma and wonderful indoor plants from lovely friend dong dong at work. the history of plants, and to keep them going generation to generation....i hope all of your cuttings grow splendidly:)
