i think this might be the perfect wedding present for a special friend.
these beautiful hand-carved wooden vessels are like a salve for a sore soul.
(sore soul? i am refusing the hammering insistence of the nicotine at work. but is hard, very hard.)

    each time i'm in new zealand i bring back a wooden bowl made from a piece of native timber. i'm getting quite a collection of them!

    you're right it's a lovely gift to give someone a handcrafted piece of wood.
    i've brought back lots as presents for people. plus they're light and safe to transport!

    yes this would be a perfect gift. those cakes in the top one are beautiful (i hate that super smooth wedding marzipan icing!)
