cafe series - cocoaloco

another of the cafe series.

cafes are one of the star attractions of japan i think. the unique japan-ness of the interior design, food and serving arrangements make visiting cafes such a pleasure and i think give an insight into modern japanese aesthetics. i totally recommend anyone planning a trip to japan to try and get hold of one of the many magazines that focus purely on cafe culture in japan - whilst they are written in japanese, they have photos to stir the imagination and detailed maps of where to find these often secret little tucked away joys. kinokuniya is probably a good place to look.

all photos here are of cafes in the kyoto or kansai area and are taken by cocoaloco. i think cocoaloco has such very pleasing composition of still life and interiors.
